Age Limit :
◆ GD And Technical (Engg & Elect) : 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002
◆ Commercial Pilot : 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2004
◆ Age Relaxation is Applicable : Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification Details :
◆ General Duty (GD) :
- Should hold a degree of recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
- Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject
- The candidates, who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
◆ Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA):
- Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects and should have scored minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects (i.e. Physics 55% & Mathematics 55%).
- The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
- Should possess current Commercial Pilot License issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.
◆ Technical (Mechanical) :
- Should hold an Engineering degree of recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate mark.
- Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject.
- The candidates, who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum
◆ Law Entry:
- A degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Coast Guard Selection Process :
The selection process of recruits is based on an all India order of merit on their performance in Stage : l, ll, lll & lV
◆ l Stage : Written Examination
◆ ll Stage : PFT and DV
◆ III Stage : Medical
◆ IV Stage : Original Documents Verification
- The Stage–I would include conduct of screening Test for the eligible applicants which will be a Computer Based Examination conducted at various centers all over India.
- Screening test is to be conducted for candidates applying for the post of GD / PN / CPL / Technical (Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics) except Law entry candidates and Departmental Promotion (DP)entry candidates.
- The screening test will be conducted in MCQ pattern with maximum marks of 400 consisting of 100questions with four marks for each correct answer and one negative marking for each incorrect answer.
- The duration of the exam will be of two hours and medium of test paper will be English.
